Coffee flavored!

These colors remind me of a cappuccino and I want one now.

So I am very much NOT a fan of halfmoons, but I thought I'd give it a shot..a real shot I mean.

I used Venique Kitten Heels Honey and for the crescent and CH Ingrid.

I still don't know if I'm a fan or not yet. The colors aren't bad, but maybe it's something about them I don't like?
Anyway, I don't like halfmoon manis. I think they are kinda tacky and terrible. I must admit though, sometimes I see them and love them! So I wanted to try one for real. I think I just need to use better colors maybe?
Anyway,, to make the lines I used those circular binder reinforcements that everyone else uses. Lols!

Well, not much more I can say on it. Thanks for checking it out!

Quite Proud of Myself

Hello my friends! I'd like to present you with the longest my nails have EVER been!!

Everyone has their success story, but this is mine! Until about 3 months ago I was a terrible biter! I had ridiculous stubs that were all bloodied up and sad. Yes, sometimes they would get nice, but the problem is, you bite one off, the rest will follow! I have seriously not bitten a single nail in at least 3 months! I can't tell you how happy I am!! I even have enough self control now that I even leave breaks alone for hours until I can get home and wrap them!

I still have a lot of work to do. I nibble at my cuticles a lot still...It's a hard habit to break!! But thanks to you and the ladies of RedditLaqueristas, THIS is possible!!

Love you all!

Salon Effects

So I wasn't going to post about this, but here it is. this is my first attempt at these silly things. The middle finger ended up all stretched but whatevs! A HUGE thank you to Laura over at The Thing I Like Now for the help with this one. Certainly helped me figure it out.

Anyway here it is...Don't mind my mild owie. =(

Overall, I'm not a big fan of these. I kind of feel like I should be doing my own art on my nails, because that's my hobby. But still, they certainly have awesome designs and I can't complain too much!

Also this pic is the day old mani...Meaning I've had 24 hours to pick at it, and it shows!!

Zoya Raven / Zoya Indigo

I posted this with my completed challenge, but decided it needs it's own post seeing as it is the mani I currently have!! Zoya Indigo gradient over Zoya Raven.

IRL, the gradient is so ridiculously subtle you would have to know it's there to see it! But the pic sure brings out the blue color. I have not been able to stop staring at this mani since I put it on! It's so so pretty! Zoya Raven is a gorgeous black that is 2 coats to opaque. It has such a pretty hint of shimmer in it too!

Indigo is SO pretty! It's a deep blue with holo glitter in it. It's the bottle in the pic.
Maybe this weekend I will get a few swatches of my favorite Zoyas! I <3 Zoya!

Completed 31 Day Challenge!!

Recreation of Glitter/Gradient

All done! It only took almost 2 months. That's close enough, right?
I decided to not caption them, working with photos is hard on here, or is that just me?

I can't remember where I found this picture, or I would credit it. This is the challenge! It's a ton of fun! You should totally do it if you get bored enough, or need ideas!!

This is Day 3 bonus!!! I didn't wasn't yellow, or Pikachu on both hands.

On a lot of the early ones, I was lazyish. I didn't wrap tips or I waited too long for a pic, or I had a terrible camera...But whatever!! I think they are still AWESOME!! If you have any input, I'd love to hear it!! <3

Also, if you have any questions concerning what polishes were used, feel free to ask!

One stroke flowers!

Oh man, could this challenge be any longer??? Day THIRTY finally! Inspired by a tutorial is this one. I did this amazimg tutorial for this. She makes it look so easy! Well, I don't think it was that bad for a first attempt! I kinda (REALLY) love it!!

Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, with acrylic paint over that. You guys should see my right hand. HA! It ended up with just accent nails, and oh man were they a terrible sight! Practice practice! But I am still in love, and will attempt this one again in the very near future!

Let me know what you think and how I can improve! Thanks ladies!
Love you!

Nyan Nyan!!

I did a bit of a twist on the Nyan Cat nails!! Generally people do Nyan for their rainbow nails day of the challenge. Aw no, not me! Supernatural day! 'Cause you know..He's in space?? I think this probably could have been done better, but oh well! Enjoy!

My camera was being silly, so I didn't get many good pics, so these will have to do!
OPI Pink Friday is the poptart frosting. CG Sexy Lady is sprinkles. Zoya Pandora for the poptart edge. Orly Sweet Peacock for the blue. SH Wet Cement for kitty! Rainbow is: CG Bing Cherry, CG Breakin', CG Solar Power, SH Ivy League, Zoya Jo, CG Grape Juice. I used a sinful colors striper for black!

I'm sorry, I feel like this post is lacking something. May have to do with the design didn't work as well as I was hoping, and I'm a little bummed. =( Oh well! I still like it!

Day 28...Finally!

I've been soooo lazy with this last week of the challenge!! This one is inspired by a flag. So I give you a twist on the Polish Flag. that's POH-lish, guys! There is a story behind this, but first...PICS!!

I love the sticker! <3

Ok, story...When I first made my Nail Polish Party event on facebook it was simply called "Polish Party". Seriously, everyone thought Poland. We all had a laugh and wanted to being sausage to the party, although no one did...=(. Anyhow, I said I was going to crayon draw a Polish flag and pin it to the door of the party, but after seeing that it was just 2 equal halves, red on bottom, white on top I kinda lost my inspiration to do so! Still, it's an awesome flag and I thought I would give it the honor of being my challenge flag!! Also inspired by Ayumi Hamasaki!!

Xtreme Wear White on, China Glaze Bing Cherry, Venique Dominating Thigh Highs for the black.
Enjoy!

Venique - Very Unique

Hi friends!! Sorry about my longish break!! In exchange here's my first ever swatches!!!! I give you 5 shades from Venique! It's a new(ish) line only available at Cosmo Prof..I think. Let me know if you can get them elsewhere!
Either way, I love them! The quality is fabulous and if you have the opportunity to get your hands on some, DO!

Be gentle, I've never swatched like this before!!

I've never had a nude color I loved so much!!! This is Kitten Heel Honey. I don't know what their deal is with kitten heels...But it's in a few of their names... I dunno. Haha! Took 3 coats to get it to bottle opacity.

You've seen this one previously. Cosmic Phenomenon! It's a really pretty purple and I love it a ton!! It's a bit thick though, so that's not that great. But add a little thinner and you're good as gold! One coat for this one!

I'm in LOVE with this color! I bought it today with my Seche Vite splurge (SALE 3 for 9.90!!!). It's called Shady Ombre. I was afraid the pic wasn't going to do it justice, but it DID! Its a very nice shade of bluegray! 1-2 coats.

Biker Couture. 2 coats. I bought it because of the name! Haha! FYI, this pic is more blue than it should be. It does have a tad bit more purple in it than this, but this is still pretty close!

Onto my favorite!! Kitten Heel Slides...Told you that kitten heel thing....Anyway, this was 2-3 coats. It's got such a pretty pink shimmer underneath all that fuchsia!! =D

How'd I do on my first swatches? I feel like it went fairly well! Let me know! <3<3
