Spring is Coming!! =D

You guys, I am so excited for Spring to be on it's way!
I saw tulips popping up the other day which is so amazing and I'm pumped! =D
Those trees that have the super cute snowballs of flowers on them? That's what this mani reminds me of.
=3

These decals are from the Born Pretty Store. I kind of love them! At first I did the full art on all of the nails, but then it got kind of ruined, and of course there isn't enough for all again (sad day, right?!) so now you get some neat nail art. Which is better, anyway.
These decals are AMAZING!!! Applying them is so easy, even on the full nail. I want so many more!! Venique Wing Tip White is my go to white, and OPI DS Radiance is the nice silver chevron.

I'm so excited to get outside and not wear a jacket. I love warm weather.
Yay!

If you want these decals, please use my coupon code at Born Pretty! =D

Freindship Bracelet French Tip!

Hi all...
I haven't been so well in the last few weeks.
Bleh.

But here are nails, so it's okay!!!
Super short post, today!

=D Love!!!

This is a suuuper cute water decal sheet from The Born Pretty Store. I wasn't sure how to do a cute manicure with these, but I totally love the designs! They remind me of those little friendship bracelets I used to make when I was a kid!
I used my OPI Can't Let Go and Zoya Mira. The water decal was super easy to apply, and there are tons on the sheet to choose from!

I want to redo this manicure someday with a BFF. Dawwww... I love this sheet of decals, and I want to also do a full french manicure with it, not just a little accent.

Buy stuff from Born Pretty with my coupon code. =3

Great day for a wedding!

Hi friends! One of my very best friends of 10+ years got married today! HOW yay for her!!! =D
So, naturally, I had to have nails to match everything. =)

Her colors were purple and yellow. I almost bought a yellow dress and did yellow nails, but then I remembered purple is my fave color. Oh yeah.

So please enjoy these nails and this beautiful bride and her lovely bridesmaids. We've all known each other as long as I can remember. Such a happy day. :)

 Blurry.

And now the nails. =D

The base is China Glaze Evening Seduction with a subtle gradient of OPI Skating on Thin Iceland and a less subtle Zoya Neeka. Purple. =)
My silly index nail so much smaller in width, Haha. I love it. =)

Happy wedding, Himi!!!! ♥♥♥

All for now! As always, thanks for reading!

Matte and Stamps

Hi friends.
Coming up with blog post titles is hard. =)

I got a new light-box!!! Omg, my pictures are actually decent without really trying!!! I'm not one hundred percent in love with them yet, but oh booooy is it closer! =D

I recently got into instagram, and saw some super cute nails by user @ezjik_nails and just HAD to recreate them a bit. So pretty. =D

Please enjoy these new pictures with new improved lighting!!! =D

So much better, amirite?!
This is my clearance OPI Skating on Thin Iceland and Venique Steel Toe Stud. On the ring finger I did a bit of a perimeter gradient. I used stamping plate  BM225 from Bundle Monster for the design. I'm feeling a bit off my stamping game lately. Ah well. I quite love this design, and want to do it again when my nails aren't as itty-bitty! The mattecoat is from Warpaint Beauty, purchased at Hot Topic years ago... I wonder if they still have it.

Thanks for reading, and see you next time!

Almost frosty gradient...

This mani reminds me of frost. Which isn't really that great! I'm not ready for the cold! Summer feels like it just started. I'm sure for all of you attending school, you feel the summer has already ended. It has, though, right?

I almost didnt post this. I did this mani about 3 weeks ago but was NOT thrilled with how the pictures turned out. The lighting made me sad, but I like the mani far too much to not share it. So here it finally is!

Hopefully on one of these angles you can see the colors well enough!! I think you should be ok. =)
Here we have Zoya Neely and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Neely is the base color, and the OPI is doing the gradient. I found that this OPI isn't the best to gradient with, because it required just a few coats too many. It certainly worked well, however!!

The hearts that are incredibly subtle are from a silver holo that I made. Yay, I made a pretty! =D It stamped very well with BM 317.

I am super in love with this manicure! I can't believe how something so simple can be so lovely.

So I'm headed out to go camping this weekend. Hopefully the nails don't break too much. If they are in decent shape when I return, I'll get something nice for you.

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to one of my best friends and favorite bbygrl, Masha at Lost In Lacquer. She is such a doll and I love her sooooo much! I had to give her a goodbye hug this week. She is moving away from me. =( So I wanted to make sure that ALL of you know how amazing this woman is!!! ♥♥♥
Masha, I'll miss you sooooo much! Good luck in everything ahead!!

Loves!!!

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon...

Hey all!
I've been fairly excited for day 22 of this challenge(what am I on, like day 78 or something??). I wanted to do this mani for rainbow day, but I did that gradient. Anyhow, Raine at Lacquer Lily showed me her awesome mani for rainbow, and I remembered how much I wanted to do this! I said with much excitement, "I'm doing that for my song day!!". Then I looked at the challenge and realized it IS song day!!!

I hope nobody thinks I am trying to be the copycat or steal any sort of thunder, I really DID have this in mind. =)

Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Nails. Alright, I'm terrible. It's an album not a song, but whatevs.

Colors:
Zoya Storm and Venique Wingtip White for black and white.
Rainbow - Venique The Perfect Accessoy, Zoya Jancyn, OPI Need Sunglasses?, Claire's Mood Green(??), Zoya Robyn, Zoya Mira. I couldn't get the green that I wanted to use open, so I had a back up. It's a mood color changing green from Claire's called Happy/Earthy I think. Striping tape all the way!

Anyhow, this has always been my favorite mani. Remember this one?? I said I was going to redo it, and I did!! If I did it over (and I probably will someday), I will remember to put the fade into the prism. I told myself to do it, and then didn't. Oh well!!!

If you haven't done so already, I suggest heading on over to Lost in Lacquer for a fancy pants giveaway that she is hosting!!! Or not. That makes my chances better. =D
(no really, do)

[UPDATE]
 Here, I fixed it.
I added the prism fade!!!

Also, matte looks pretty cool. =) Warpaint Beauty mattecoat from Hot Topic.

Day 20 - Water Marble

I wanted to try this new craze sweeping the nail art world with this one. Rubbing alcohol! So this is still using the water technique. Drip some polish onto water surface, and sprits with rubbing alcohol!  It gives it this cool broken up look. You can change the design by being closer or further away in your spritzing.

China Glaze For Audrey, Venique Sole Train, and OPI Just Spotted the Lizard are the colors used. Each nails has TWO marbles on it! One Venique and one OPI. I thought it kind of had a turquoise feel to it. Cute!!

Day 11 We've got some stripes!

Hey all!
Today is day 11 of the challenge, and stripes it is!

Wasn't sure what I was going for here, but I used more striping tape!

OPI Pedal Faster Suzi is the pink, Venique Wing Tip White, and Zoya Raven.
This is almost elegant. I simply painted the nails all a base of white, then put a stripe of pink on. I covered up the places I wanted to stay pink and white with striping tape and covered it again with Raven. I've always loved pinks and black together!

One more thing: I have a little Etsy shop / Facebook page completely unrelated to nails. I am a hooper! I play and dance with hula hoops. I also make and sell them. I wanted to share with you my pages, because when I reach 100 likes on FB, I will be giving away a free hula hoop!!!

Get to liking the page if it interests you! I can't wait to give away a free hoop!

Day 3 - Yellow!!

I feel that it is completely acceptable to skip weekends. =)
I doulbe feel that because I am doing this challenge alone. Here are my yellow nails! I went out and bought a new China Glaze sparkle specifically for this purpose!!

OPI Need Sunglasses? And China Glaze Lighthouse. The dots are OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. I used scotch tape to apply Lighthouse! Totally love this bright mani.

I Like to try to keep the detail colors of the same brand as something else, that way there isn't a whole new label for a dot! xD

Zombies on the Loose!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!

I've seen so many cool manis for today. Lot's of zombie things that I want to do! However, I went a more simple approach. Just kind of the sidelines of the zombies, I guess. Well, you decide!

Sinful Colors Zeus(purple) and Nirvana (brown) kinda make up the dead flesh color, if that's what you take from it! I just figured they were good zombie colors. The stamp is BM 323, which is barbed wire. Unforetuneately the pics didn't capture it very well.

So there it is! IRL it actually looks really good! The wire is done with OPI DS Radiance.

As an after thought I added the blood spray. I figured a zombie would get out of barbed wire, right? As if that could stop them!! Ha!

Well, I hope everyone has an amazing Halloween. Keep safe out there. ♥

PS - I've been lacking ideas as of late. Does anyone know of a fun challenge I could try? Thanks a bunch!!!

Hullo!

Hey everyone!! It's been a while and I've missed you!!
I'm all moved into my new place, and my polish is up on the racks! Well, what fits anyway.

PS - If you have ever made a shelf/rack based on the design on my collection page....I advise you to reinforce it. 2 of the shelves broke, causing a giant spillage. Then 3 China Glaze bottles broke. =(
I used thumbtacks and pushpins myself.

Anyway, I got my nails did today! By me, of course. I've been staring at them ever since like, "OMGAH this has been too long since I've had pretties!"
(it's 1am and I should be sleeping...)

Here you go!

OPI Just Spotted the Lizard and Zoya Raven, with by a cheapy Kiss glitter striper. This was freehand, and well overdue.

During the move, with my polish all packed, I realized just how much I had. 4 small boxes full, and one pretty large box. It was so ridiculously heavy!!

Bonus Kitty!!!

One for Masha.........Love you!

<3 Love you all!

Also, if anyone has a new nail art/polish challenge, let me know! I'm really looking for something new and fun to do!

For a night on the town!

Hello everyone! I've been super busy lately, and will be super busy for the next few weeks! GAH! My nails have been so sad and unpolished...Well, unpolished with art. They can't go long naked, so they at least get something...

Anyway, I managed to find some time to do some artish. I was inspired by the ad for Sephora on imgur. I'm sure many of you have seen it. I haven't found it recently, so I don't even know how close this is to it!

I didn't edit these pics at ALL! I feel like crap today and am surprised I am even blogging....=/

This is OPI Sand in my Suit, China Glaze Street Chic, and Zoya Nina.

I got all dressed up and went to a party with my sister last Thursday. It was like a Burning Man party kinda thing, for a fundraiser for an art piece that goes out. I hooped for 3 hours straight, and the mani lasted! Awwww yeah! I wish I had gotten a pic of my outfit! It was all brown and cute! =D

Anyhow, this was done with tape, then freehand when I realized I was too lazy to finish the taping! you can tell which is which, I'm sure!

So I have been out of the nail community for a bit, but I am in need of a splurge...any suggestions on something that came out recently?? Let me know!!

PS - Comic Con. I'm going. I need something for my nails to signify my nerdiness. Dexter? Minecraft? Portal?? Helllp!

It's my Reddit Cakeday!

So I should have cake.
Anyway, I was going to do cupcakes for this special occasion...But I decided to do wrapped presents instead!!!

 Happy cakeday!
So I added the bow as an afterthought, but I liked it better before. Meh. Still cute!!

 Here it is before.

Dawwww, Kinda too cutesy and pink for me. Despite my layout, I'm not really a pinkish person!
This is Zoya Jolene and OPI Pedal Faster Suzi.
I used tape for the 'ribbon' strips. The accent nail is done with the plastic wrap method.

I think I will end up taking the bow off..Yup.

So anyhow, Reddit. Yes. I thought it was tomorrow, so I was slowly getting around to this. Then I decided to comment on a post and behold. CAKE! Aw, crap, gotta hurry if I want to post this with a meaning!!!

It's kinda more plaidish than presents, but whatever! I still totally think it's overwhelmingly cute.
What do you think?

Love me some Reddit Lacqueristas!!

Ah, here is a nice swatch of OPI Pedal Faster Suzi. LOVE this color! It was going to be the frosting on the cupcake. xD

Good day! <3

That mani where you think, "What am I even doing?"

Hey everyone! So here this is..I was going along when I realized I had no idea what I was doing. I started with something else in mind entirely, but then this happened! Didn't turn out so bad, I must say. I kinda like it!

So I picked these 3 colors for whatever else, but then I ended up with this. If feels similar to something I've done before, but different enough!

This is OPI I Have a Herring Problem, Zoya Yara, and Zoya Neeka. All 3 of these have a really cool finish. I've been wanting to use this OPI for a while now. I think this turned out pretty good!
I need to get another tiny striper brush...The one I used to have broke and this one doesn't work as well..=/

I'm beginning to run out of short nail ideas. My poor nails are having a hard time getting long. Too much hooping, maybe? Naw!!

As I was selecting pictured for this..I got to thinking. Why do I take so many to choose 2 or 3? Then, why do I even feel obligated to show the mani at 3 or 4 different angles? Hm. Oh well, I still will! =D

Happy Thursday!
