Day 3 - Yellow!!

I feel that it is completely acceptable to skip weekends. =)
I doulbe feel that because I am doing this challenge alone. Here are my yellow nails! I went out and bought a new China Glaze sparkle specifically for this purpose!!

OPI Need Sunglasses? And China Glaze Lighthouse. The dots are OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. I used scotch tape to apply Lighthouse! Totally love this bright mani.

I Like to try to keep the detail colors of the same brand as something else, that way there isn't a whole new label for a dot! xD

Happy 1 Year Blogiversary to me!

One whole year I've had this blog. That is CRAZY talk!  I want to start off this next year with recreating the 31 Day nail Art Challenge!

I was going to ask others if they wanted to join, but I just don't know how that works. If you are a blogger as well, and want to join, let me know! We can do this together! That will keep up the motivation a bit more. You can post your Day 1 Nails late, but I've already got mine!

This is the challenge.  I am excited to do this over again! I have been so lacking inspiration lately, but having something to do everyday is going to fix that!!

A few different angles for your eyes to see. This is another Veniqure!! The Perfect Accessory, Dominating Thigh Highs, and a bit of Clear is the New Sexy. The 'tiger stripes' are sponged on with a cosmetic sponge. The cute little swirl is freehand! I want to try NOT to stamp a lot this month. Although I know I still will.

Day One: Red is so far my favorite day!!! ♥

If anyone else wants to do this challenge with me, comment below, get your reds up and I will link your blog each day.
See you tomorrow for some orange!

Thank you, Venique!

Hiya!
So here is something awesome... Here we have the Venique Holiday Collection 2012. These colors are great and work very well with each other! I'm super excited to share this with you. This collection is gorgeous!

This is Studded Holiday Surprise. It's a super pretty gold shimmer top coat. I wanted to show you what it looks like on it's own. Even that is darling!

Down the Chimney. This needed a lot of shaking. The bottle was pretty separated. But a lovely outcome! I love purples, though.

Studded Holiday Surprise over Down the Chimney. Super quick and cute look. I went a day with this on! No doubt it won't be my last.

Wrapped in Jewels. I don't know if you know this, but I don't have a thing for dark blues. This color is super pretty though. It's much brighter depending on the light, or darker otherwise. I have a new favorite dark blue. (more like, 'Look! I have a dark blue finally!' =D)

Heels of Dazzle over Wrapped in Jewels. I really don't know what to do with glitters like this. I have no creativity to use them except what you will see a bit later on. I just wanted to show you how the glitter goes on with one coat. =)

 Another angle.
Twinkling Glitter over Down the Chimney. Wow. Again, I don't know what to do with glitters, but I almost didnt take this off! I was just staring at it and moving around to see the different colors it gave off. AWESOME multi glitter. I think I will totally use it in the future for galaxies!

 Another angle.

The final project. Down the Chimney with a gradient of Studded Holiday Surprise and Twinkling Glitter, and 3 coats of SHS over tape for the tree! I saw that tree somewhere; I just had to do it! A bit of hand placed glitter from the glitter bottles on the tree. Merry Christmas!

With these polishes, I also received a topcoat. I've used it, but found it to be too slow drying for my taste. No picture for the fact that it's clear. =)

This is my first experience with being sent product for review. I want to reiterate my disclosure policy and reassure you these views are mine alone. I am super grateful for this opportunity!

Don't have any Venique? I know, I've said it before, but if you have any kind of cosmetology license get to CosmoProf! You need this stuff!

All polishes in this review were generously donated by Venique. The donation in no way has influenced my review on the product. Please review my disclosure policy.

Black Friday Shopping Results - Venique!!!

The only store I went to on Friday was CosmoProf. Why?? 2$ Venique!! I couldn't have been happier to get up early before work to shop. Kinda went rainbows in this haul, love it!

Here's yet more amazing Venique swatches. Can never have enough of those!! Warning: Picture heavy! Each swatch is about 2 - 3 coats unless specified otherwise!

My Heart Flip-Flops is a fun red! I wasn't sure about it at first, but that may be because I rarely paint my nails red and was skeptical. I like this one a lot, however! I'll find something to use this with soon!

Mary Jane Pump. Kind of a coral red color. Totally wish it were spring/summer already looking at this.

Clods A Hoppin'. I love orange cremes. I hardly ever use them, but I want them!!

Haute Meet Flats is almost the same shade as Clods A Hoppin, but it is a bit lighter. It has a nice shimmer to it. I want to use this with glitter!

Golashes Glow. Yes they do, if they are this color! This yellow / green is super bright. I'm realizing as I look back at these colors, I must have been in a very springy mood.

Rainy Day Boots has a pearl finish. I have never liked this finish, but that's no reason not to swatch it! Application of this finish is difficult. I can't seem to get it how I like often enough. Beautiful green, however!

Heavy Metal Tapping. I'm liking the finish of this one even less. I love the color, it's so lovely! I just can't seem to fall in love with the way it looks. . Taking pictures of this finish never help it look better. Doesn't matter hoe in focus it is, the blend just doesn't look appealing to me.

Mistletoe Bliss. One coat did it! This one dried a satin/suede finish. I thought about throwing a topcoat on it, but decided I liked it without just fine. I am so in love with this color, and will most likely use it as  a 'go to' quite a bit!

Platform Wild. Any berry colored creme polish wins my heart. I stare at them the whole time and just want to keep them as shiny as possible. The application is always so amazing for Venique Cremes, I'd just like to say that! =)

Jammin' In Jellies. The polish in the bottle doesn't mix super well. You can see the blue in it. However, I'm sure with enough patience and shaking it would go away! It applies just perfect, though.

Pump Up the Jam. I still haven't decided if I like this color yet. It has a pretty blue undertone. While that sounds awesome, it's just not me. The color and application are great, just not totally me.

Ga-Loshing in the Rain. I took this picture much different than the others as far as lighting. Oh well, still works! This pink is so pretty and light! 3 coats was great to get this, but if you leave it a coat or two and layer it it would be just as lovely!

Boat Shoe Castaway. I was in need of a new gold metallic polish! I like it. Not much more I can say! =D

Night Walker. There are applications that are great, and then there are applications I LOVE! Other than this needed 3 coats to be opaque(it's kind of jelly), this is almost my new fave. This color was in the clearance box, so it wasn't apart of the sale. I guess that means it is discontinued. Sad day.

Straight Up Laced. After 2 or 3 coats, it's a deep browninsh color. However just one coat is deep purple. It's kind of jelly, as well.

3, 2, 1 coats from left to right here. Not a huge difference at all in 2 and 3, but one coat is quite different!!

Please enjoy! Hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving!

All polishes in this review were purchased by me. This post is in no way endorsed by Venique.

2 Older Manis to Share

By older I mean a week or two ago. Took pics, just never got around to posting. Oh well!

Oh. My. God. This is my new favorite color ever!! I've not gotten around to getting myself indies, yet. I want them, but haven't done it. This polish is my good friends A-England Saint George, with Zoya Storm tips. I can't tell you how incredibly beautiful this polish is. I wish I had taken better pics when I had this polish on! Simple mani, yes, but amazing colors!

 ♥♥♥

This is a simple mani inspired by Tartofraises. Essie San Tropez, China Glaze Fast Track, and China Glaze I'm Not Lion. The glitter is so minimal, but necessary! The dark brown is acrylic paint. I realize I just did another mani with the same colors, but they are great colors! I can't believe how long these rinestones lasted! Probably a good 3 or 4 days they stayed there until I took them off! Yaya!

Life is like a box of chocolates...

I want chocolate right now. So much.

I grabbed my China Glaze Mahogany Magic and did all my nails. As I applied it all I could think of was chocolate!!! So I took it off and started over.Various pieces of tasty chocolate went into the inspiration for this. Let me break down the colors for you.

Right to left: Butter London Cream Tea with Mahogany Magic candy drizzle. Zoya Nina with a mixture of Nina and Mahogany Magic. Mahogany Magic with a Cream Tea Swirl; then finally that Nina / MM mixture with MM design thing. Btw, the design was supposed to be tastier looking. Oh well!!
I applied my index finger with the crappiest paintbrush I think I own! I'm surprised it turned out even kind of decent. Happy though!

Oh my effing nom. Am I allowed to say that? Just did.
I am about 100% sure I will be hitting up a shop today for some tasty chocolates. For some reason I have a huge craving. Just wish I could place why...

Oh by the way, I haven't bitten my nails for about a year now (go me!!!), but today looks like a good time to start again. =)

♥ All!

My nickname is Angel Kiss!!

Hey all!
So I like to give polish colors to friends that share the same name, or nickname every once in a while. I mentioned this to a friend, and she decided her new nickname was -insert some pretty color here- (I forgot what she said...)

Anyhow, this is Color Club Angel Kiss. I don't own it, it belongs to her! As I applied it, I announced my new nick name was Angel Kiss.
She must not have believed me; I still don't own it. =(

That story may have been funnier if you were there... Hm.

This holo is sooo pretty! The whole holo line by Color Club is amazing!! I've got to look into it, because wow. That's really all there is to say about it! I love the application, too! No fighting with it like the Nfu Oh that I have.

Zombies on the Loose!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!

I've seen so many cool manis for today. Lot's of zombie things that I want to do! However, I went a more simple approach. Just kind of the sidelines of the zombies, I guess. Well, you decide!

Sinful Colors Zeus(purple) and Nirvana (brown) kinda make up the dead flesh color, if that's what you take from it! I just figured they were good zombie colors. The stamp is BM 323, which is barbed wire. Unforetuneately the pics didn't capture it very well.

So there it is! IRL it actually looks really good! The wire is done with OPI DS Radiance.

As an after thought I added the blood spray. I figured a zombie would get out of barbed wire, right? As if that could stop them!! Ha!

Well, I hope everyone has an amazing Halloween. Keep safe out there. ♥

PS - I've been lacking ideas as of late. Does anyone know of a fun challenge I could try? Thanks a bunch!!!
Jono
