Great idea! I usually run the lid under hot water for a few seconds so the plastic expands a bit. It almost always works :)
My method is to hand it to my husband. =D
And that's just when my nails are wet! Generally I just put on rubber gloves (heavy dishwashing gloves) and can open anything with those on. When the gloves are dry they are super grippy!
