Untried Challenge Number 3: Three Colors

Hey everyone. Today's mani has got me super bummed. There is so much polish on my nails it looks like I've got short, stubby acrylics! But I decided to go with it anyway. Can't have everything right, can we. =(


This challenge is to use 3 untried colors. I also decided to do another design I've never done. Clouds!!!

My apologies to those with brighter/ higher contrast monitors. The pink looks great on my lappie, and my phone, but is REALLY blinding at work. Hope it looks ok for you! =)

 

 This is Orly Fowl Play, China Glaze Pink-ie Promise, and Venique Sugar on Hi-Platforms. The Fowl Play was the WORST idea for a base. It looks so darn good in the bottle, but is far too sheer. I had to have 3 coats minimum for it to be opaque enough. That with the two other colors for clouds. I should have stopped while I was ahead, but eh. You can see in the pics how much polish is on my sad little nails. =(

BUT, The design is just fine, and the colors(mostly) are lovely. Are you digging that bright pink? Stay tuned for some more Venique swatches from the Sweet Little Addictions collection!!!
