Zoya Blues

Good evening!!
Here is a simple taped mani with a tiny wavy line.

Zoya Dove and Caitlin are the bottom colors, and beautiful Skylar is the wave!!

I wanted something more subtle, but I still think this is super cute!! I used a tiny detail brush for the wave.
If anyone is wondering, I use Seche Vite as my topcoat! Because I am impatient...

Anyway, 28ish hours left until the giveaway closes!!!!
Enter here! Hurry!!

Zoya Haul and Curent Mani!

Heyyy! So I ordered some friends a ton of Zoya!! I reaaalllyyy wanted to share the haul because it's so awesome!!

Only the first row is what I bought for myself....Woot!
So top to bottom, left to right:
Avery, Avery, Jinx, Penny, Trixie, Nina, Veruschka, Kelly, Gia, Pippa, Jem, Jinx, Julieanne, Charla
Dovima, Veruschka, Savita, Indigo, Kym, Midori, Luna, Chloe, Cynthia, Maisie, Bevin, Tangy, Nephratiti, Akyra
Skylar, Tru, Dovima, Tao, Luna, Sofia, Maisie, Opal, Chloe

Friggedy awesome, right??? I only wish I could keep the other! There's repeats because the order is for 5 or 6 people!

Onto my mani...I had WAY higher hopes for this, but I still like it!

I wanted to tape this, then I realized that would take forever, so I freehanded. Except the triangle, that's both!
I love Dark Side of the Moon. <3
Used SC Secret admirer with a bit of Zoya Indigo sponged over that. Then a white striper. The rainbow is a red striper, CG Breakin', CG Solar Power, SH Ivy league, Zoya Jo, SC Fiji.

I think I will redo this one someday, but better! Also I don't know why the prism is so cloudy... We can ignore that!

Frosty Night, Starry Sky

Hi friends!!!
I went to Cosmo Prof again today. =/
You know what that means!!! Basically, it means this color on this mani is brand spankin' new!! Onto the fancy pics!

Venique Peep Toe Shoe, Venique Wingtip White.
I am in LOVE with this teal color.  It is so ridiculously pretty!

I was inspired by the cold frost outside, and how I wish the clouds would go away so I can see the stars. Well, they won't. So I did it on my nails!!! This mani is for the girls at Cosmo Prof. Because every time I go in my nails are just crap, and you probably don't believe me when I say I love nail art. So here you go!!!

I've been learning new tips and tricks with my camera and how to get better lighting and color. So this is so far the best quality pics I've had...i think.

Here is just a swatch of Venique Peep Toe Shoe. Beautiful, yes?

Any pointers or constructive criticism on the nails AND photos is appreciated! <3 <3

Venique Cremes

Hey guys! Been a few days, but here I am back with a few Venique swatches for you!
I. LOVE. Venique!!!

If you have access to get Venique at your local Cosmo Prof, dooo it! They are great! Also shout-out to the ladies at Cosmo Prof on 47th!!! Love you gals a TON!
<3

Heel D'orsay. Such a pretty pink! Mom went crazy over it an had to go get her own! =D
2 coats did it well!

9 to 5 Shoe. This is actually mom's bottle. I stole it for a swatch! Its a very nice neutral with a hint of peach to it. I like it! 2 coats.

Steel Toe Stud. This is going to be my go-to color for work, I can feel it! I always wear earth tones and greys and blacks to work, and this is a very nice greyish purple. Also it's a creme. Those are mah fave. 2 coats...These were all 2. xD

Shhh...Quiet! This is my least fave of any Venique so far. It did manage to last a whole day on though! I had to test it to be sure I kinda hated it. I still do. It looks nice in the bottle, but on it's kinda khaki green, especially in the light at my work. Blech.

Story here. I swatched SEVEN Veniques for this post, 3 were shimmers. I did them, took  pics, got to my lappie only to discover ALL of them looked wayyyy off color. Accept one, which is the only one i checked to be sure the lighting was right...My mistake.
Discouraged i almost gave up, until Ii got motivated with a new lighting position and redid ALL SEVEN. Ugh! Only 3 hours ish of swatching, no biggie...
The reason you don't see 7 here is because you will see the other 3 later...After I redo them. Again.

Side note, I bought this Woot Shirt today!! I LOVE Nyan cat! <3 <3 Thanks Lindsay for letting me know it was there!!

Love to all! <3

All polishes in this review were purchased by me. This post is in no way endorsed by Venique.

Had to try my new Essie, may as well make it V-day!

Hello lovely readers! Hopefully this day is treating you fairly well. If you don't have a SO in your life, there is always nail polish!! And that most times is better anyway, yeah? xD
Anyway here's this. Got a clearance Essie and had to try it!

Essie Super Bossa Nova, with black loose glitter over a cheapy clear coat! I mattified it with Sephora by OPI mattecoat.
I love those fun little beads, but they take soooo long to put on. Also it got nudged and the lines went crooked. Whatevs!!

I didn't reaaalllyyy want to do a V-day mani, but my bestie got me a cute NOPI with little pink hearts. She used it and I was going to as well, but suddenly decided against it and here we are!

Modern Blocks

Here is a little tape design today! I took these pics about 8 hours after the mani was completed, so mild picking happened. Old habits...=/

This was inspired by a pair of Fruit of the Loom undies I have! =D
Used Zoya Purity, CG Purple Panic, SH Green with Envy, and Zoya Raven.

I think this is pretty awesome!! Totally fun and easy to do. Just take 4 pieces of tape per square, then a coat of Seche Vite after each block. So this went: Purity, SV, Purple Panic, SV, Green with Envy, SV, Raven, SV. That means over the black there is 8 layers!!!

If I ever do this mani again, I would change the position, size and amount of the squares. Slightly bigger, or a few more seems to be what it's missing.
What do you think??

Love ♥

Hi everyone! Hope you're all getting entered into my giveaway!! Don't forget to sign up!

Aside from that, here is a slight V-Day mani. I decided that it didn't really have to be a Valentine's Day mani, because I love all year and never have any hesitation adding hearts to anything!!

I really need to work on my photography skills, I've decided. I have a fancy schmancy camera and only use the 'auto' function. It works. It does what it needs too, but I feel my skin tones aren't where I want them to be....Either that or my skin just isn't as pretty as it could be. That is true...I need better cuticle cream!

Also, meet my least favorite nail. You've seen it, but here is a proper introduction! Its my left index finger. The nail grows soooo slow, and is drastically a different size than the index on my right hand! As in, when I do artificial nails, my right takes a 4 or 5, my left takes an 8 if that makes sense to you! As you can tell in these pics, especially the first one, it's a baby nail and never proportionate to the rest! But oh well, yes? I could have it much worse!

Anyhow, this is OPI Done Out in Deco. Its the pretty lavender/purple color. The silver gradient is OPI Gone Platinum in 60 Seconds. I bought that for it's name... I do that a lot!! You can't see it in the pics very well, but there is a hint of Pure Ice Busted on the accent nail. I only put it on that one, then decided I didn't like it.

Thanks for reading! ♥Jonochi

Simple and Sweet

Hello everyone! Hope everyone's weekend and Monday was great!!! Me, not bad, other than I did something and messed up by back yesterday and have been down in pain all day. Meh,
So nothing fancy, but here is a pretty mani for you!

China Glaze Moonlight and OPI Text Me-Text You. The design is a sticker. Yeah yeah, I could free-handed it. Don't get on me, I'm in pain!!! Anyway, If  I've learned anything from this mani, it's that I need a better eggshell white. 5 coats is a bit ridiculous! This is waayyyy too sheer.

Side note...I see a giveaway in the near future!! You're gunna wanna stick around for it!

Zoya Swatches

Just a couple of Zoya swatches I thought I would share with you!!! I only picked a few, because I was on a tight schedule. Let me know if you want more!

This is Laney! I think I have a new favorite silvery color. This took 2 coats. It has pretty green and pink tones in it, this picture didn't capture that as well as I had hoped, but still pretty!

Felicity. This was 3-4 coats. Its a very pretty and subtle pink. <3

Jinx. Not a Pokemon!! This reminds me of pennies, but thy already have a polish called Penny, this is NOT it. Maybe this could be the dirty coin. xD

Edyta!! It's so my favorite green. This is one of the very first Zoya bottles I got too, so I am bias toward it.

My bro took these shots today(LCL Photo), so enjoy them!!

PS - This happened shortly after. This is Bo Kitty. Hes like 20 years old. I <3 him!

These Are My Friends

Hello everyone!! So last night Courtney from GaGa for Nails and I had a little chat and it inspired me!! I ended up watching Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd and got my nails did!!

The cleanup with this was rough, being that I used acrylic paint, but I am still very pleased!!

Zoya Raven, OPI DS Radiance, Acrylic paint.

I don't know if any of you have seen Sweeney Todd, but you need to! The staged version is AWESOME as well. So if you can get your hands on that, or the Burton film, you won't be displeased. Who says musicals can't be awesome?! The silver represents his razor, just so everyone knows! Disclaimer: It's a gory film. But it's totally the most ridiculous fake blood you'd ever see, so it's more laughable than not!

So I work at a theatre. A real one! So everyone there knows Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and they all totally loved this design. I think it is fun. Probably more for Halloween, but I think it suits all year long!

What do you think? Any other movies I should be inspired by??

PS - Yes, I love Dexter. No, these are not my Dexter nails, although I have done those in the past and most likely will again someday!

A Girl and Her Polish

Nail Polish Party!

Hello everyone! On January 12th I had a lovely party! I thought I would share with you the AWESOME pictures my wonderful mother took!!

Above is all of us! Aren't we adorable?

At this party we had yummy snacks and lots of polish! I showed my guests various ways to create awesome nail art, we had goodie bags with fun stuff in them, I raffled off some awesome prizes, including the Magnetic Trio from Sephora, some Zoya, Seche Vite, and stamp kits.

There was a swap basket that worked pretty well, we just had a misunderstanding at first how it worked. Basically I put 10 in there that I didn't want(LIES! I put 10 in that I was 'okay' with parting with!), and throughout the night they would trade one for one. By the end I got to keep whatever was leftover! It was a ton of fun!

I'm the one in the stripy shirt there. My nails ended up the test and tutorial nails!

This little series is pretty cool, but we failed to get a final product pic. You get the idea though!

Various work stations and experimenting!!

My Grandma did some AWESOME water marbling!!!

The final products!!  Different angles and focus points to show off all of our creativity!!!

I am having another party soon!!! It was so much fun, and I recommend this to anyone!
I can't wait til it warms up a bit so we can do it at a park or someones backyard instead. The building was soooo full of fumes with this!

Hope you enjoyed the pics!!
